Télescope

This cafe is the first cafe review on my blog! 🙂 This is a hidden coffee shop near the Louvre. As you can see in the cover photo, they don't have a big sign so you might miss it. It's very cozy and feels like home. A barista friend of mine told me about this coffee shop so I had to give it a visit. To give a numeric summary on this coffee shop I would say:

Environment: 4/5

Taste: 4.5/5

Experience: 5/5

Environment

As I said in the summary review and see on the photo above it's hard to know if this is the right cafe. The small gold plate on the left side of the photo above is the store sign! But when you notice that it is the coffee shop that you have been looking for, you'll feel special. Also as you can see in the photo the community between the barista and the costumes are very strong.

Taste

I got to try out the espresso and iced cafe latte in this coffee shop. I would stay that the coffee was slightly acidic in a good way with not too strong after taste. Actually, it was really good! The iced latte was really nice too. The presentation of the coffee was pretty good too. When I received the iced latte, I was able to see the milk and espresso slowly getting mixed.

In terms of pastries and food the selection of a little limited. They had different types of bread and some cookies.

Experience

The experience of this cafe would be the highlight of this place. Having no directly visible sign makes it feel very independent from other coffee shops. But what this is coffee shop great is the showmanship of the barista. The barista fully shows you the process of how your coffee is being made. Due to seat layout facing the barista, you can see how each costumer's coffee being made! In the photo below, I believe the barista is using an Aeropress coffee maker (kind of like a French press).
